The following Friday after work, I met Tony, Luis, and Leeza at Kings Cross Station, where we boarded a train and took off to York for the weekend.
When we arrived in York, it was a wet evening, which added to the mystery of this great city, which has history dating back to the Romans.
We found our way to the B&B we were staying in. It was right upstairs from a Coffee House, and also a Bar, which proved to be loud and annoying. Also, while I'm complaining, the blinds in our room were not sufficient to keep out the bright light from the street light directly outside. I wouldn't recommend where we stayed to anyone, but when you are traveling with dogs. . .
It was however, fairly centrally located, and we wandered off into the city for dinner and an evening stroll through the streets and the best preserved example of a 15th century alley/shopping area, The Shambles.
