For our last day in Stockholm, it finally did rain. We'd tried unsuccessfully to climb the tower at City Hall, but it was sold out the previous day, so we came back as they suggested the following morning early.
This proved to be a great idea as we had the tower almost completely to ourselves. We took the elevator up as far as it went, and then climbed the remaining stairs up to the top.
The view from up there is amazing.
Stockholm is truly one of the most beautiful European cities I've visited.
From there, we wandered around Stockholm a little more until it was time to make our way back to the trainstation to catch our bus back an hour and a half out to Skavsta Airport for the lovely RyanAir flight back to London.
It was a great trip and I would go back to visit Sweden again. However, knowing that the huge lakes and rives in Stockholm somehow get cold enough to freeze such that you can ski across them make me clear that I wouldn't want to visit it in the wintertime.
