Who would have thought that in this day and age it would be so hard to find a decent Margarita anywhere on the planet. It is simply tequila, some good citrus juice, a little cointreau, and some Grand Mariner.
We've tried numerous places with no success until we went to the Texas Embassy Cantina, which occupies the old real Texas Embassy from when Texas was briefly its own country until the US stole it up.
They make undoubtibly the best Margaritas in London! Plus they give you Chips and Salsa to go with it for FREE! I didn't even feel guilty buying 3 of these $11 wonders they were so good. Of course to a starving man. . .
They even have Chicken Fried Steak, though they call it southern fried steak. It was a little more tempura, and a little less fried, but it was still good. I chickened out and got the Enchilada which was "eh". . .
The Sizzling Apple Pie is a lame immitation of the Marix original without the sizzle and the carmelly goodness. Still, they do have the best Margarita in London
